Nurture

I’m not done with the book yet, but here’re some cool, powerful and touching statements Lisa makes…that made me ‘selah‘ (stop & listen).

“When God relates people, it is for increased personal strength, spiritual growth, and kingdom purposes.”

“Their season of nurture may be short, but it must be potent and concentrated if this generation of promise is to accomplish the God-breathed destinies woven into the fabric of their beings.”

“Know the heart is more powerful than a nation. What government has ever held the power to change the human heart? You can control the actions of people by limiting their liberties, but you cannot, with all the outward restrictions, chain the heart. Kingdoms rise and fall as time ebbs and flows, but the heart is forever. God alone knows the heart and has the power to truly change it.”

“But that night… when i saw her i realized it was okay just to be myself: free and lost in worship.”

“The right thing at the wrong time is still a disconnect!”

“The season of networking just to climb the social ladder is over. God is toppling these ladders. They are propped up against frail, man-made structures, but God is building His house with living stones that have been honed accurately and fitted togeher precisely.”

“To be true to yourself, you must be faithful, loyal, and honest with your heart.”

“The greatest present she ever gave me was her belief in the calling on my life. She chose to see something in me that others had missed. Or perhaps it was hers alone to see in that season. Heaven only knows, but she loved me well.”

“It is not enough to intercede if you do not recognize or respond to the needs of the daughters who cross your path each day.”

“Sisters, we need to start clapping for one another!”
